Welcome to Mochi Ribbon. These Terms of Service explain the rules for using our online store, placing orders, and purchasing authentic Japanese collectibles from us. By using this website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, our Refund Policy, and our Shipping Policy.

If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use the website or place an order.

2. Eligibility and Accounts

By using this site, you confirm that you are legally able to enter into a purchase agreement in your location. If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your login information secure and for all activity under your account.

Please make sure your email address, billing information, and shipping information are accurate and up to date. We may use the information you provide to process orders, prevent fraud, contact you about your order, and provide support.

3. Products and Condition

We sell curated Japanese collectibles, including pre-owned items, limited items, trading cards, figures, plushies, acrylic goods, apparel, and related merchandise. Product photos, descriptions, condition notes, quantities, and prices may change without notice.

Many items are pre-owned or sourced from collectible markets in Japan. We do our best to describe condition clearly, but minor package wear, age-related marks, manufacturer variation, or small differences in color may occur. Please review photos and descriptions carefully before ordering.

Unless clearly stated otherwise, items are sold as collectibles for personal use. Unauthorized commercial resale, fraud, abuse of promotions, or misuse of the site may result in order cancellation or account restriction.

4. Orders and Payment

Placing an order is an offer to purchase the selected item(s). An order is accepted only when we confirm and process it. We may refuse, cancel, or limit an order when there is a stock issue, pricing error, payment issue, suspected fraud, shipping restriction, or other operational reason.

Displayed prices are in USD unless otherwise shown. Taxes, shipping fees, duties, and other charges may be calculated at checkout depending on the destination, shipping method, item type, and applicable rules.

Payment is processed through Shopify, Shopify Payments, PayPal, or other supported payment providers. We do not store full payment card information on our own systems.

5. Shipping, Duties, and Delivery

We ship authentic Japanese collectibles from Yokohama, Japan. Processing time, carrier, shipping cost, and delivery speed vary depending on the order contents, destination, shipping profile, and carrier availability.

Standard items, regular figure items, large figure items, large plushies, boxed sets, pre-order items, and other special items may use different shipping rates. Please review our Shipping Policy and the checkout page before payment.

Delivery estimates are not guaranteed. Customs checks, carrier delays, weather, holidays, incorrect addresses, and events outside our control may delay delivery. For U.S. customers, some shipments may be handled under duty-paid arrangements when shown at checkout. For other countries, import duties, taxes, and customs fees may be the buyer's responsibility unless checkout states otherwise.

Risk of delay or loss may depend on the carrier and shipping method, but we will help investigate tracking issues, lost packages, and damaged shipments when contacted promptly.

6. Returns, Refunds, and Cancellations

Returns, refunds, damaged packages, incorrect items, and cancellation requests are handled under our Refund Policy and Cancellation Policy.

If you need to cancel or change an order, contact us as soon as possible. We may not be able to cancel or edit an order after it has been packed, a shipping label has been created, or the order has shipped.

Condition issues that were clearly disclosed on the product page are not considered defects. However, if an item arrives damaged in transit, is materially different from the listing, or is the wrong item, please contact us promptly with photos and your order number.

7. Pre-Orders and Limited Items

Some products may be listed as pre-orders, backorders, limited-quantity items, or special-order items. Availability dates are estimates and may change due to supplier delays, manufacturer changes, allocation limits, or import/export conditions.

If a pre-order or sourced item becomes unavailable after purchase, we will contact you and may offer a refund, replacement, partial shipment, or other reasonable solution.

8. Intellectual Property and Site Content

All website design, text, branding, graphics, layout, and original content on this site are owned by or licensed to Mochi Ribbon, Shopify, or their respective owners. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, or use our site content for commercial purposes without permission.

Product names, character names, series names, trademarks, logos, and images belong to their respective rights holders. Mochi Ribbon is an independent reseller of authentic goods and is not affiliated with or endorsed by those rights holders unless explicitly stated.

9. Third-Party Services and Links

Our store is powered by Shopify. Payment, checkout, analytics, reviews, shipping, social media, and other features may be provided by third-party services. Your use of those services may also be subject to their own terms and privacy policies.

Links to third-party websites, including social media pages, marketplaces, payment providers, or carrier tracking pages, are provided for convenience. We are not responsible for third-party content, policies, or actions.

10. Customer Content and Feedback

If you send us reviews, messages, photos, suggestions, or other feedback, you confirm that you have the right to share that content. We may use feedback to improve our services, respond to support requests, and operate the store, subject to applicable law and our Privacy Policy.

Please do not submit false, harmful, abusive, infringing, or unlawful content through the website, email, review forms, or social media channels.

11. Errors, Availability, and Site Changes

Occasionally the site may contain typographical errors, incorrect prices, inaccurate stock status, image mistakes, shipping display issues, or other omissions. We reserve the right to correct errors, update information, change prices, cancel orders, or limit availability at any time, including after an order is placed.

We may update, pause, modify, or discontinue any part of the website or services without notice.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mochi Ribbon, its owners, staff, service providers, and partners will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential damages arising from use of the site, purchase of products, delivery delays, third-party services, or inability to use the service.

Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot legally be limited under applicable consumer protection laws.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Mochi Ribbon, Shopify, and their respective affiliates, service providers, employees, and partners from claims, losses, liabilities, fees, and expenses arising from your breach of these Terms, misuse of the site, violation of law, or infringement of third-party rights.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. To the extent permitted by law, disputes relating to these Terms or purchases from Mochi Ribbon will be handled by the courts with jurisdiction over our business location in Japan.

We may update these Terms from time to time by posting the revised version on this page. The updated Terms apply from the time they are posted unless otherwise stated. Your continued use of the site after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.
